Princess and the Pauper

My first thoughts on seeing this photograph was what a striking contrast of life the image has. Someone who appears wealthy and healthy face to face with a man who is probably as fit as a flea but lives life on the breadline. The Princess and the pauper meeting in a city shopping mall.
Have you any idea what either of them might be thinking, or perhaps you have an inkling to what the well heeled lady is saying to the Shoe Shine boy.
